Albert Foweraker: Córdoba Moonlight

Blizzard pieces for a puzzle consisting of thousands of them. New artists, new travelers, sincere love of this land in eternal decay. Today, in our section on the gallery of illustrious travelers Tavern, Albert Moulton Foweraker, Painter Moonlights.

Albert Foweraker, only son of the Rev. Edmund Foweraker Thomas y de Emma Susana, was born 7 July 1873 en Exeter, English town of Devon County. It was in this city where he spent his early life and received his early training in his cathedral school, main temple in which his father won several charges. After passing the Cavendish College Cambridge scored in 1893 a Bachelor of Applied Science at Christ's College which gave the title of engineer.

It was not until 1898, year in which held its first exhibition, when Albert began his professional career, being elected to the Royal Society of British Artists in 1902.

In that same year he moved to Exeter, su ciudad natal, a Lelant, county of Cornwall, since starting his frequent trips to Spain, especially in Andalusia, South of France and North Africa not stopped visiting until the decade of the twenties. Antequera, Round, Seville, Malaga, Granada… Córdoba and a lot of the warm corners of Andalusia were privileged scene of his large work.

As with many of his contemporaries, production is basically landscape character. Fascinated by the effects of light on the landscape, They are particularly celebrated their Moonlight, in nocturnal urban scenes portraying original form.

The artist died in Swanage, Dorset, January 1942.
